50200-50299 The Wii console's Internet settings have not yet been configured You must first go through a quick setup process to connect your home network to the Wii console.
50300-50399 The Wii console's internet settings are incorrect This could concern information such as SSID (name), WEP or WPA key or any manual settings.
50400-50499 The Wii LAN Adapter is not installed correctly. -
51000-51099 - 1. Please make sure your router is not on our list of incompatible routers. Click here for a list of routers that, in our experience, are not compatible with the Wii console. If your router is on the list, it is very likely that it is not compatible with the Wii console's online functionality. If your router is not in the list, please continue with step 2.
2. Make sure your network name (SSID) matches that in the Wii console settings.
a) Login to your router using your default IP (refer to your router manual for further instructions).
b) Locate the SSID section (usually found in the "Wireless Settings" section). Once you have found the SSID (the network name), make sure that the SSID in your Wii console's Internet settings is the same as that of your router. Upper and lower case letters, spaces and special characters must also match.

1. Login to your router with your default IP.
2. Locate the MAC Filtering section (usually listed under "Security").
3. If MAC filtering is enabled, enter the Wii console's MAC address in the list of approved MAC addresses. Instructions on how to find the MAC address of the Wii console can be found here. (Here's information on how to access the MAC filtering section when setting up your router.)

52100-52199 In our experience you have to manually enter the DNS settings into the Wii console in order to connect to the internet. Follow the steps below to determine these settings.
* Another device may be using the same IP address as the Wii console. Try manually assigning an IP address to the Wii console.
1. Click on the "Start" button.
2. Click "Run".
3. Type "cmd" in the field and press Enter.
4. Type "IPCONFIG /ALL" and press Enter.
5. Enter the exact same Primary DNS and Secondary DNS values ??into your Wii console.
52200-52299 The access point you are trying to connect from is not connected to the Internet, or a firewall is blocking the Wii console's Internet connection to the Internet Make sure the router is connected to the internet if you want to connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. If you can't connect to the Internet on your computer, there is a problem with your Internet connection. Contact your internet provider for more information.
If the problem occurs regularly when playing games at home, it is probably due to the firewall settings.

For information about connecting to the network proxy server, contact your network administrator. It may be necessary to configure the Wii console's Internet settings manually.
52500-52599 The Wii console cannot connect to the proxy server because the account settings are incorrect (e.g. username and password). Proxy servers are commonly used in areas with a lot of Internet connectivity, such as offices and dormitories. For information about connecting to the network proxy server, contact your network administrator. It may be necessary to configure the Wii console's Internet settings manually.
52600-52699 The Wii console was unable to connect to the Nintendo servers due to technical issues Please try again later.
52700-52799 In our experience, this error message usually occurs when another device on the network is using the same IP address as the Wii console. Manually assign an IP address to your Wii console:
1. First you need to figure out which IP address range to use. To do this, you must do the following:
a) Click the "Start" button.
b) Click on "Run".
c) Type "cmd" in the field and press Enter.
d) Type "IPCONFIG /ALL" and press Enter. Your PC's IP address is displayed.
e) The IP address you will assign to the Wii console should be 10 digits higher than that of the PC (e.g. 192.168.1.100 becomes 192.168.1.110).
f) Enter exactly the same values ??for the Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary DNS and Secondary DNS.
2. Now you need to manually assign the new IP address to the Wii console. A step-by-step instruction for this process can be found here.
Make sure you entered the correct DNS in the Wii console's manual settings. You can check this using the steps above (IPCONFIG/ALL)
